Brock Mashburn
If you told most people their realtor had discovered thirteen plant species new to science, they might do a double take. But for Brock, curiosity & attention to detail have always been part of the job—long before real estate entered the picture.
With a PhD in Botany from Washington University, Brock spent years as a researcher at the Missouri Botanical Garden, exploring places like Madagascar, Ecuador, Thailand, & the Mascarene Islands. Growing up in West Africa helped shape his sense of adventure early on, & he got used to navigating unfamiliar territory, solving problems on the fly, & building trust across cultural lines. Turns out, those skills are just as valuable when guiding someone through a real estate transaction.
Brock has called South City home since 2014, living in neighborhoods like Tower Grove East, Tower Grove South, & Northampton. He’s not just familiar with the area—he’s investing in it. Alongside his brother, he’s spent more than a decade owning & managing rental properties across South City, from duplexes to four-family buildings. He knows the ins & outs of homeownership & property management alike—the numbers, the maintenance, & the long-term payoff.
These days, when he’s not helping clients, you might find Brock on a soccer field, at the piano, or working in the garden (old habits die hard). He & his wife stay active in their community through their church’s food pantry & homeless ministry, & with a new baby at home, he’s even more invested in staying rooted in the community he loves.
Whether you're a first-time buyer trying to decode a neighborhood or an investor looking for your next property, Brock is the calm, knowledgeable guide you want in your corner.
